Operations Assistant
1. What is your professional super power?
In every role I’ve had, whether through work or volunteering, I’ve always loved spotting gaps in the way things are done and figuring out how to make them better. There’s something really satisfying about making processes smoother and more efficient. I’ve seen a lot of places stick with the same old methods just because ‘that’s how it’s always been,’ and I completely disagree with that. Work smarter, not harder, right?
2. What excites you most about joining the team?
I’m excited to be part of this team because I believe it offers a meaningful opportunity to rethink traditional work structures and address some of the challenges created by common workplace models.
3. What does community mean to you?
To me, community is people coming together to help each other, work collaboratively to solve problems, and even just have fun. Through mutual support, we help each other grow and find connection and belonging.
4. How do you currently “find your people” at work?
I’m a pretty sociable person, so I kind of just yap until people laugh and then I’m in. But what really draws me to people is to see them with the patience to teach or learn with grace, as well as act with kindness and humor. Those are my people.
5. What’s a dream for the future of work that you’d love to see come true?
I wish work could be something more than just a source of stress and dread. It’s so common for people to live only for the weekend, and that makes me so sad. It would be wonderful to see work become something that brings fulfillment and joy, not just for a few, but for everyone.
