CEO & Founder
1. What is your professional super power?
For my professional superpower, I often cite being a “Jill-of-all-Trades.” My academics and career has taken me down many paths, including engineering, business, and the arts. And while that might sound like an unusual mix, it’s exactly what makes me effective. As a software engineer, I bring the technical rigor needed to solve complex problems. As an MBA student, I’ve learned to zoom out and see the bigger strategic picture. And through it all, my creativity and artistry has helped me never lose sight of the importance of designing experiences that truly resonate with people. My greatest joy is being able to weave together these perspectives that others might keep separate, all for the purpose of creating experiences that are fun, intuitive, energizing, and meaningful.
2. What excites you most about leading the team?
What excites me most is creating the kind of environment I always wished for. Work can so easily become draining, transactional, or isolating, but I believe it doesn’t have to be that way. Leading Conello means I get to design a culture where people can bring their whole selves, where collaboration is free-flowing, and people feel supported to take risks and to try new things. Watching teammates surprise themselves with how creative and connected they feel is the most rewarding part of the journey. Already I’ve been blown away by the expertise, passion, and commitment that my small yet mighty team brings. Together, I believe that we can truly change the future of work!
3. What does community mean to you?
To me, community means belonging without needing to shrink or stretch yourself to fit in. It’s knowing you’re seen, valued, and part of something bigger than your individual role. I’ve been in environments where community was missing, and the difference is stark. I’ve personally felt and seen the chronic burnout that can happen when people are made to feel small or are stretched too thin. At a company that places its culture first, work can feel joyful and purposeful.
4. How do you currently “find your people” at work?
Right now, “finding my people” happens in small but powerful ways, like laughing over dumb jokes, commiserating over life’s biggest hurdles, problem-solving during challenging projects, or celebrating wins (both big and small). At Conello, we’re designing intentional ways to make those moments less rare, by baking team-building directly into our flow of work. Monthly all-hands meetings serve as engaging strategy thinktanks, and end in fun game nights that give us a good laugh and teach us something new about each other. Already the difference I feel is electrifying!
5. What’s a dream for the future of work that you’d love to see come true?
My dream is a future where connection is treated as every bit as essential as output. Too often, workplaces are laser-focused on their productivity while overlooking the human fabric that makes any of that possible. And in an increasingly automated world, it’s more tempting than ever to be distracted and to lose sight of what matters. But the great business minds of today know that it’s still our people that fuels performance. When our people feel like they belong and like they can trust their peers, they bring more creativity, energy, and resilience to the table.
This is the vision that drives Conello: to reimagine work as something life-giving, not life-draining, something that can help people discover personal growth, and even friendship, all while building great things. If we can help even a fraction of workplaces move toward that vision, it will all be worth it!
